God
We must understand who God is before we understand our need for salvation.
Isaiah 40:28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding.
Sin
We have all sinned and the consequence of sin is spiritual death (separation from God). Therefore, we need salvation.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 1:25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served what has been created instead of the Creator.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Christ
Jesus died to pay the price for our sin even though we were His enemy.
Romans 5:8 But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus
Faith
If we believe in Jesus, turn from our sins, God will forgive our sins, and give us eternal life.
Romans 10:9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
