Baptism
We believe that Christian baptism signified by immersion in water is a public declaration of and identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Romans 6:3-6 Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life. For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of his resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be rendered powerless so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin
Colossians 2:11-12 You were also circumcised in him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of Christ, when you were buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
We believe that baptism is an act of obedience not for salvation but as a demonstration of our willingness to follow Jesus' commands
