Core Values

Biblically Based

The word of God was central to the work and ministry of Jesus. As followers of Christ, we continue to read, study, and examine it for guidance, direction, and to know the will and character of the Father. The Bible continues to be the center of our beliefs, faith, and doctrine. It is God's voice and revelation to mankind. Scripture is vital to believers.

 2 Timothy 3:16, Acts 17:11, Romans 15:4, Joshua 1:8, Matthew 4:4

Empower

Although the time Christ spent on earth was short, his influence was effective due to his deity and connection to the Father. As followers of Jesus, if we are to impact our community with the good news, we understand we must be empowered through that same Jesus. Through the same relationship with the Father, functioning by his Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:8, Colossians 1:11, John 15:4-5,1 Corinthians 12:11

Disciple

The earth was never the same once Jesus walked among men. But those few apostles, who were close with Christ, experienced the greatest transformation. We observe in Jesus’ example and commands that we are to build close relationships and walk through life with one another: leading, guiding, and sharing with those who the Lord brings into our flock.

John 10:16, Ephesians 5:1-2; John 12:26

Equip

Jesus chose, equipped, and prepared each of his disciples to perform the work he willed them to do. We seek to do the same, using the commands and the example that Christ laid out for us, found in the scriptures, in order that we might fulfill His purposes and will for one another and our community.

Acts 2:42, 1 Corinthians 14:26, Ephesians 4: 11-13 & 16, Hebrews 10:24-25, 1 Peter 3:15

Engage

“For God so loved the world that He sent…” (John 3:16) Jesus was God engaging his creation with the gospel. The ministry of Christ included healing, miracles, and interacting with a broken humanity. He served and helped those in need. He got involved.  As followers of Christ, we are called to continue to be ministers while seeking opportunities to actively serve those in our community. Engaging our generation with a tangible, transforming revelation of Christ demonstrated through good works.

Acts 2:47, 1 Corinthians 12:5, 1 Corinthians 3:9, Galatians 6:10

Proclaim

The church exists as a means that we might continue in the mission of Christ and reach everyone with the gospel. As Believers, we exist in this time in history, in this location, in our community for the purpose of reaching our generation with the good news of Jesus. We have been brought together by God, and we understand that we are part of His plan for redemption. We are to proclaim His mercies and goodness in the way we worship, serve, teach, and live. Also, in the manner we walk alongside those who have yet to place their hope in Christ.

1 Peter 2:9-10, Hebrews 3:6, Ephesians 3:10, Ephesians 4:25
